Summer Glam Make-Up

Summer Glam Make-Up

I've been playing with some new make up and as I'm so happy with the products I thought I'd share what I used for this look in my first ever make up post! :)

-Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
-Mac Prep & Prime Corrector in 'Peach Lustre'
-Nars Luminous Lightweight Foundation in 'Stromboli'
-Nars Creamy Concealer in 'Ginger' & 'Custard'
-Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in 'Golden Honey'
-Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
-Original Beauty Blender
-MAC 130SH Short Duo Fibre Brush
-Real Techniques Setting Brush

1) Prep skin by applying one layer of moisturiser and follow with primer. Try to apply moisturiser at least 10 minutes before continuing the rest of your make up
2) Apply corrector to the darker areas of face (under eyes and around mouth). I apply this with the underside of the Beauty Blender
3) I then use my MAC face brush to apply the foundation. I add foundation under the eyes first and apply the second layer around the whole face. I then blend this in a dabbing motion with the top/side of the Beauty Blender
4) Add concealer in darker colour first in a triangle shape under the eye and blend with tip of Beauty Blender. Then apply light concealer on top in same way
5) I add the Bobbi Brown stick to the darker areas of my skin if they are looking a little grey. This helps correct them further as a finishing touch (I really recommend this step)
6) I use the setting brush to add an obvious amount of setting powder under the eyes and on sides of nose. I then dust off the excess after approximately 5 minutes

Contour  Blush  Highlight

-Real Techniques Sculpting Brush
-MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush

-Anastasia Beverly Hills A23 Illuminator Brush

1) Use sculpting brushed to contour cheekbones, jaw line and around side of forehead with bronzer
2) Apply blush lightly to apples of cheeks with MAC brush
3) Use Ecotools brush to contour sides of nose. Also apply to bottom and centre of nose
4) Use Illuminator blush to apply a mixture of all highlight colours in palette to top of cheeks, under brows, along nose, inner eyes and cupids bow

-Huda Beauty lashes in 'Samantha'
-Tarte Tartlette Eyeshadow Palette 'In Bloom'
-MAC 213 Fluff Brush
-MAC 217 Blending Brush
-MAC 219 Pencil Brush
-MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara

1) Apply thin layer of foundation on eye lids (and/or eye shadow primer)
2) Apply lightest eyeshadow shade across all lid and under brow with 213 brush
3) Add mixture of the pink/orange colour to mid and edge of eyelids
4) Add darker pink/red colours to creases and blend with 217 brush
5) Continue darkest colour round bottom lash line with pencil brush
6) Darken and blend further with black pencil liner
7) Apply liquid eyeliner with wing. Build up with 2/3 layers for more of a black finish
8) Add white eye liner pencil in inner eye
9) Apply thin layer of mascara
10) Add glue to lashes and leave for 30 seconds to partly dry, then apply lashes onto lash line carefully

-Tweezerman Tweezers
-Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in 'Medium Brown'
-Bobbi Brown Eyebrow Brush
-MAC NC30 Concealer Pot
1) Tweeze excess brow hairs
2) Apply brow definer carefully across top and botton of brow to fill in gaps
3) Use upward motions for gentle amount of colour to inner brows
4) Apply concealer directly under the brow with brush neatly and blend

-EOS Lip Balm
-MAC Lip Liner in 'Spice'
-Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in 'Ashton'
-Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in 'Stripped'
1) Exfoliate lips with tooth brush
2) Add EOS balm to lips
3) Carefully apply lip liner around lips and slightly over line for a fuller finish
4) Apply Ashton lipstick
5) Dab Stripped lipstick in centre of bottom lip only to create an ombré finish

The Finished Look

And there you have it, the full breakdown of an entire glam look. I really really hope it is in someway useful.
I honestly recommend each and every one of these products especially the MAC mascara, the Tartlette and CarliBybel palette as well as the Huda Lashes!

  • I have been using their foundation for quite a long time. I am obsessed with this and I am absolutely in love with this. I did professional makeup lesson by Lina Cameron as well, which helped me a lot to improve my skills. Getting a professional makeup lesson may help you to improve your skills too.

  • Now you can learn glamorous makeup lesson by makeup artist Lina Cameron. She can teach well how to bring glam in a simple and regular face. Also, she can teach very well how to get a glamorous look by using minimum makeups. She is really good on this line and very professional.
