Over the years, we have been constantly making changes to our base materials and plating to ensure our jewellery is genuinely water-resistant and has longevity.
It is important for us to educate our customers on the best way to care for their NIKITA pieces to avoid any disappointment or unecessary wastage in the future.
Please read our care instructions below where we highlight the type of materials/chemicals to be wary of in day to day life to ensure our jewellery plating lasts forever.
EVERYDAY WEAR
Our jewellery is designed to be worn everyday and last forever.
We have improved our base metal to a high grade stainless steel and our plating to 18k to ensure a more durable, long-lasting shine.
Although our pieces are resillient, we do recommend to be mindful of harsh chemicals such as perfumes and hand sanitiser as this can strip the top layer of plating and affect the overall colour and finish.
We advise to remove jewellery when sleeping or taking part in activites to avoid any scratching.
We provide a complimentary polish cloth with all orders and this can be used to bring your pieces back to life after general wear and tear.
BATHING
We have extensively water tested our jewellery and can confirm our new materials are 100% waterproof and we have an added coating for further plating protection.
Although our plating is resilliant, we still recommend to be mindful of harsh chemicals such as perfumed soaps, exfoliants and bath salts as these could wear the colour and shine over time.
Therefore it would be best to remove any jewellery before showering or bathing to ensure your NIKITA pieces last forever and retain their shine.

TAKING ON HOLIDAY
